印象中的台東美食大多以傳統小吃為主,這幾年因為熱氣球炒熱商機,各種不同風格的美食小舖如雨後春筍般越開越多,帕堤思糕點工房也是這一兩年開業的法式甜點工坊,原本就是台東人的阿嬤級糕點師傅黃美利本來在北部教書,退休之後,因為熱愛甜點特別拜師學藝,後來還成為甜點補習班的老師,為了充實所學還特別到法國藍帶廚藝學校東京分校上課,學習正統法式甜點製作,回到台灣之後選擇在故鄉台東開店,要讓台東人也能吃到最美味的法式甜點。

帕堤思音譯源自法文的糕點師傅pâtissier,和法式糕點pâtisserie,店就開在台東不起眼的寶桑路邊,招牌至今還沒掛上就已聲名大噪;大門採用TIFFANY藍色系,營造最舒服又討喜的風格,讓人看一眼就愛上它。

黃老師做的蛋糕堅持採用天然食材,不添加人工香精,他擅長以在地出產的有機食材製作戚風蛋糕,有洛神、檸檬、香橙及紅烏龍茶多種口味,營仄獨特的台東味,而這些蛋糕也想當然爾的成為人氣商品,純天然的口感與香氣,讓人吃多也不覺得膩。除了戚風蛋糕,多種口味的乳酪塔派及手工餅乾也很受歡迎。
